At 223 Princess Street, in the heart of Kingston's vibrant and historic downtown, the Crown Condos project embodies a modern vision of urban living. A harmony between the street level and the hanging gardens

The project unfolded across two strategic areas of the building, levels 1 and 6, that required design flexibility.

• Level 1: Monumental planters welcome residents upon entry, creating a smooth transition between the city center and the intimacy of the home.

• Level 6 (Terraces): On the roof, the layout creates a true aerial oasis, offering residents structured and green relaxation areas with breathtaking views of the city.

Detailed engineering: Robustness and architectural finesse

To meet the sustainability requirements of the Canadian climate and the project's aesthetic standards, Urban Pot manufactured eight monumental planters, some stretching over 7 meters in length.

• Marine Grade Aluminum: Each unit is forged from 1/8" aluminum, guaranteeing absolute corrosion resistance and structural lightness ideal for roof terraces.

• Monolithic Finish: Thanks to our invisible welding technique, these imposing structures appear to have been sculpted from a single block, offering a minimalist and contemporary aesthetic.

• Intelligent Modularity: Designed in modular sections, our planters facilitated a smooth installation, despite logistical challenges with access at height.
