Elevating the Art of Living to the Summit of the Eleanor Apartments

In the heart of Gatineau, where modern architecture meets urban dynamism, the Appartements Éléonore project has taken on a significant challenge: transforming its high-rise spaces into veritable suspended havens of peace. Urban Pot was invited on board to bring this vision to life, where concrete gives way to nature.

The challenge of immensity and structure

For the third-floor terrace, the ambition was to create an imposing green structure that could define the space without overwhelming it. We designed monumental pieces, including planters over 11 meters long. These metal giants are not simply containers, but structural elements that create green pathways and meeting places for residents.

Invisible engineering in the service of aesthetics

To please the discerning eye of architects, every detail has been designed for purity of line. Although composed of several sections to facilitate their ascent to the building's summit, our planters feature invisible welds that give the illusion of a sculpted monolithic block.

The use of marine-grade aluminum ensures that, despite harsh winters and direct exposure to the elements on the main roof, the structure will remain as pristine as the day it was installed. It's a promise of durability that never compromises on elegance.

A sanctuary on the roof

As the experience ascends towards the Main Roof, it reaches its climax. The planters have been strategically placed to offer residents an intimate setting while framing the spectacular city views. Thanks to a discreet, elevated drainage system, water flows freely beneath the structures, protecting the roof's integrity while nourishing the plant life.

The result: a lasting urban signature

Thanks to close collaboration with developers, Urban Pot has successfully integrated a turnkey solution where technology takes a back seat to emotion. At the Appartements Éléonore, our planters do more than contain plants; they anchor the building in its surroundings and offer residents a touch of nature, far above the hustle and bustle of the street.
