In the West District of Calgary, Truman Homes’ mixed-use Oak & Olive project features 14 custom aluminum planters designed by Urban Pot.
Truman Homes brought Urban Pot in to supply 14 custom aluminum planters for Oak & Olive, a mixed-use project in the heart of Calgary’s West District.
Oak & Olive brings together a new grocery store, retail businesses, cycle paths and transit options within easy reach of residents. A new public park, with a playground, bocce ball courts and a skating area, sits directly beside the project.
Urban Pot supplied all of the project’s planters, placed along the retail storefronts and sidewalks.
Uniform Planters For A Cohesive Streetscape
All 14 planters share the same dimensions, custom-built in aluminum to fit the outdoor space.
Planters: 14 units at 24″ × 24″ × 24″ H (61 × 61 × 61 cm)
Fabricated in aluminum and built to order, the planters are made to stand up to Calgary’s four-season climate while keeping a clean, consistent look along the storefronts. The result is a cohesive line of greenery that softens the streetscape and ties the project’s retail frontage together.
