Prestigious Terrace Design: The Monumental Development of the Vendôme in Markham

In the heart of Markham, ON's dynamic growth, the Vendôme Condominiums project stands out as a benchmark for residential luxury inspired by European elegance. For this large-scale project, Urban Pot was selected to design and manufacture a system of monumental planters to structure the expansive terraces and common areas of this upscale complex.

The challenge: Coherence and modularity on a large scale

With over 90 custom-made planters, the main challenge lay in production capacity and logistical precision. The goal was to create a consistent visual identity across the building's different levels, while adhering to strict structural constraints for the hanging gardens.

A massive configuration: 91 precision structures

Urban Pot has delivered an impressive collection of marine-grade aluminum planters, renowned for their lightness and exceptional durability:

• Generous planting volumes: A series of 32 planters, 80" long and 27 units, 91" long, form the backbone of the layout, creating lush green corridors.

• Monumental Squares: Two giant 96" x 96" (8 feet by 8 feet) planters serve as architectural focal points, allowing for the planting of large trees or flowerbeds in the center of the terraces.

• Uniformity Design: All units have been designed with a consistent height of 25", ensuring a clean and uncluttered skyline that complements the modern architecture of the Vendôme.

• 1/8" and 3/16" aluminum: Use of high-performance materials to ensure that the walls never deform under the pressure of soil and roots.
