Customized layout for ETS

The École de technologie supérieure (ETS), a pillar of engineering education in Quebec, has commissioned Urban Pot, the benchmark in high-end planters in North America, to modernize the entrances to its buildings.

The objective: to reflect the innovative energy of the school while creating a substantial visual impact, a real "Wow effect", from the moment of arrival on campus.

An innovative design for an institution of excellence

Specializing in technology transfer and a practical approach, ÉTS required a solution that reflected its image. Urban Pot rose to the challenge by proposing a bold, geometric concept that highlights the university's values of excellence.

Our approach has allowed us to integrate structures that are not just flower boxes, but actual pieces of architectural street furniture.

Technical challenges and tailor-made solutions

Every institutional project has its constraints. For ÉTS, we designed a strategically configured planter complex:

• Space optimization: A set forming a large triangle, perfectly fitting the universal access ramp while respecting the clearances of the public sidewalk.

• Brand identity: Application of a high-durability paint, faithfully reproducing the mythical red of ETS, for perfect visual integration.

• Installation and safety: To meet safety standards in dense urban environments, our teams have installed each unit with robust, secure ground anchoring.
