A robust design made of marine-grade aluminum
For this high-visibility commercial project, we manufactured 13 custom planters meeting the highest industry standards:
Advanced material: 1/8" marine-grade aluminum, chosen for its lightness and absolute resistance to urban corrosion.
Impeccable finish: exterior-grade powder coating with invisible welded seams for a flawless architectural finish.
Precise details: Integration of a 4" toe kick and a 2" top rim, to maximize visual elegance.
Structural innovation: Integrated support for glass walls
The real challenge of this project lay in the planters' hybrid functionality. Beyond their decorative aspect, they serve as a structural foundation:
Concealed hardware: Each unit is ingeniously designed with invisible internal supports to support glass partitions.
Security and transparency: This solution creates a secure, elegant barrier between the restaurant terrace and the bustle of Toronto's sidewalks, without obstructing views.
