A robust design made of marine-grade aluminum
For this high-visibility commercial project, we manufactured 13 custom planters meeting the highest industry standards:
Material selection: 1/8" marine-grade aluminum, specified for its strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to urban corrosion.
Finish: exterior-grade powder coating applied over continuous welded seams to ensure long-term protection and a uniform appearance.
Precise details: Integration of a 4" toe kick and a 2" top rim, to maximize visual elegance.
Structural innovation: Integrated support for glass walls
The planters were engineered to serve a dual role: providing both visual definition and structural support for adjacent glass walls.
Each unit incorporates concealed internal supports to transfer loads from the glass partitions.
This configuration provides a secure barrier between the restaurant terrace and the sidewalk while maintaining visual transparency.
Reinforced aluminum angles were specified to maintain system stability under anticipated structural loads.
